We are Boutique Onze

Here is our story: Jerry and I fell in love at a friend's apartment on a peach coloured leather sofa and the rest is history.

I started out as a fashion designer, designing for big companies. Jerry had worked in retail clothing stores his entire life. Having come from generations of manufacturers and retailers, Jerry’s first retail experience was when he kept asking his father for money to buy candies; his father helped him set up his first candy stand in front of his own retail store, selling them to the neighbourhood kids. He was four years old and soon had to close when he ended up eating more candies than he was selling.

Our boutique began in the more humble part of one of Montreal's most important commercial and historical streets. Located at 4151 St-Laurent Blvd, also know as the 'Main'. ONZE means the number eleven in French. 4+1+5+1 = Onze!

At Boutique Onze, we know that our customers are at the core of our business. We succeed by knowing them and exceeding their expectations for great items and service. We also grow by drawing on the creativity, strengths and abilities of our fantastic team. We love our staff and they love Onze. Some of our salesgirls have been with us from the very first day we opened our doors.

I love to encourage up and coming designers, because I was once one myself. I know what it’s like to be sewing all night long, taking pictures, making catalogs, contacting potential buyers and lugging samples from store to store hoping that they, too, would love my creations enough to put them in their store.

Having hand crafted items hanging next to international brands gives our customers the feeling of shopping in a huge walk-in closet, full of fun, feminine, urban pieces!
